Story + Space

A Kitchen Studio Built for Cooking Workshops

Finding a venue for a cooking class in Nottingham usually means compromising: a community hall with two domestic ovens, a restaurant kitchen you can only have on a Monday, or a demo counter where guests watch rather than cook. The Pass is different. It is a fully working, camera-ready kitchen studio in Colwick, minutes east of Nottingham city centre, with real appliances, running water and proper prep space, built so a group can actually get their hands in the food.

Because it is one of only three kitchen studios in the Midlands, it also does something no village hall can: it films beautifully. Run your class and capture it at the same time, with professional cameras, lighting and audio equipment included in every booking. Chefs, nutritionists and corporate teams leave with a finished event and the promotional content to sell the next one.

FAQ

They cook. The Pass is a fully working kitchen with real hobs, ovens, running water and prep space, so hands-on classes work exactly as they would in a teaching kitchen, with the bonus that everything photographs well.

Yes. Tastings and sit-down elements are a normal part of workshops here. As the host you remain responsible for food handling and for managing allergens for your attendees, so build that into your planning.

Please do. Professional cameras, lighting and audio equipment are included in every booking with technical support on hand, so you can capture the session for social media, your website or a future online course.

Tell us in advance about high-smoke cooking such as frying or searing so we can manage extraction and the fire alarm, and share your expected headcount and any deliveries when you book so everything is ready when your group arrives.
